The electricit­y markets in the Nordic countries have undergone major changes since the electricit­y market reform was started in the early 1990s. ""Electric­ity Market 2000"" describes the conditions on the Nordic markets. The publicatio­n contains data on electricit­y generation and use during the past years, structure of the electricit­y market, trade in electricit­y in the Nordic countries and northern Europe, electricit­y prices in the Nordic countries and other countries as well as impact of the electricit­y generation system on the environmen­t. The report is the fourth in succession and is published annually. Previous editions were focused on the Swedish market and were therefore called ""The Swedish Electricit­y Market""
