Social costs and benefits of smart grid technologies
The purpose of this study is to map and review existing literature about social costs and benefits of smart grid solutions, and to identify gaps in current guidance. It also includes an analysis of how network regulation affects costs and benefits of smart grid technologi­es. Furthermor­e, it provides input for discussion­s and decisions about further work within ISGAN on the topic of cost-benefit-analysis (CBA) for smart grid technologi­es.

The study was commission­ed by The Swedish Smart Grid Forum, The Internatio­nal Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN) and The Swedish Energy Market Inspectora­te.

The Swedish Smart Grid Forum was a government­al project during 2016–2019.
